Liam and fellow Event Director Kimberley Aldridge produced a stunning evening at Leicester’s 18th century venue, The City Rooms, in memory of Bridget Yeomans and Myley Star Aldridge, raising money for Cancer Research UK and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust.
Kimberley and Liam had over 80 invited guests share the night with them, enjoying speeches from each of the charities, a three-course meal and an evening of entertainment provided by The Voice contestant Kate Read, The Next Brit Thing contestant Becky Orton, and Lutterworth based DJ Liam Payne of Thunder Entertainments.
As part of the process of organising such a wonderful event, Kimberley and Liam were interviewed by Monica Winfield of BBC Radio Leicester.
The evening was well received by everybody that attended, with Liam and Kimberley being overwhelmed with the positive feedback shared from the people that had shared the night with them.
You and Kimberley should be proud of yourselves – we’re all proud of you. It was nice to have everybody together, having a good time. When there’s so much shit going on in the world and you two can come together and do something like this, it restores your faith in people. It was an amazing thing you two did tonight and I’m honoured to call you my friends. – Daniel Simpson
